It is reverent fear, having deep respect for His sovereignty. "The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments, for that is the whole duty of everyone." Ecclesiates 12:13 We worship Him in spirit and in truth. "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 We use scripture to learn the will of God that we might fulfill His calling for His children. "All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the person of God may be proficient, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 We continually strive to have love for each other that identifies us as Christians. "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35 We use the fruit of the Spirit to guide and encourage us in our daily lives. "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23 We are continuously encouraging one another along the way. "And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews10:24-25 Come as you are, but don’t leave as you came! |
